So "Cap"-tivating
Well, the wall is almost done. I was tired on Saturday and slept in longer than I should...yah yah...Jeff will rat me out so we'll just say that I didn't get home until noon. My mom, dad and Jeff were...well...sweating like pigs. The good news is that they were putting the last cap on as I pulled in...do I have good timing or what!?!?!? I stood out there and was amazed by the heat and managed to take a couple of pictures.

Progressive and Transition
So, you would think that by the title I'm talking about our lives without Jami, but in this case I'm not. Sadly, I don't have Jami to blame things on anymore so I guess we'll blame this one on Jeff :) My mom came down a couple of weeks ago and we got her eyes checked. They dilated her eyes so we were picking out frames while we were waiting for that to set in. We got them picked out and were starting to order everything when the doctor called her back in. She told me to just finish up and get what I get. You see, the thing is that even though she's not a grandma she kinda has the grandma eyes and she needs bifocals...I don't have those (yet). The girl was asking me about the type of lenses and I was getting the Teflon and all that stuff. I didn't want the line in the bifocal so when she asked if I wanted the transition lenses I said "yes, we don't want the lines in the lenses." I thought they were a little expensive and she's all "well, if we take the transition out it saves $50" I'm like "ewww...nah...it's worth that much for not having the line." We tallied everything up and my mom came out and paid and said her glasses were always that expensive. On Tuesday she came down and we went and picked them up. Check it out...Isn't she so cute with my two babies!

Well, we picked up the glasses and we walked outside to go to Cafe Rio for dinner. We walked outside and my mom's all "Did you tint these?" I looked at her funny and was all, no...they're the same as mine. We walked in to eat and were standing in line and I did a comparison of our lenses and sure enough...they were the same. We ate and then walked outside (into the full sun this time). I'm looking at her glasses from the side and thinking...geesh...from the side they sure do look dark. She walks along the side of my car and looks in the rear view mirror and just starts laughing. I ask what's wrong and she pops her head up and I see BLACK glasses. Oh my gosh I had ordered transition lenses thinking that was the progressive lenses. It was too late to get a picture of them darkened. I thought I had one from this weekend, but I don't. She loves them (thank goodness) and my dad even ordered him some :)

Weee it's a wall
Well, there's been a lot of progress made on the wall. It's a ton (closer to 6 tons) of work, but it's paying off. Here's our yard before.

Look at it now :)

We have the tree that my dad's coworkers gave to us planted as well as some daisies from the neighbors, but I forgot to grab a picture of those.
I think the hard work made us delirious...well...actually mom and Jeff are usually delirious. Last weekend we had the neighbor kids over playing. Tyler went for a ride in the new wagon my dad got for fathers day.

I guess my mom was jealous because this weekend she went for a ride in the wagon.

My dad and I were sitting on the porch when we hear Jeff squeal and he goes running down the driveway with my mom in the wagon. They are nutts.
I would just like everyone to know that we were walking through WalMart and the next time you buy Goldfish crackers please know that Jeff fixed the machine that glues those boxes. He also fixed a roller that moves the cookies down the conveyor belt. If he weren't alive those boxes would not be glued properly nor would they have cookies in them. He wouldn't let me take a picture of him with the box, but rest assured I told him how proud of him I am :)

Funeral Pics
So, I thought I'd put a few pics up from the funeral for those of you who couldn't come. Things were so pretty! We have her services on CD if anyone would like a copy to listen to.

Audrey was comforting my Dad...she's so cute!!!

Lots of flowers!!

I do have pictures of Jami if anyone wants to see them. I think they are great, but I didn't want to make people uncomfortable. The funeral home did an amazing job in all aspects.

Hey Everyone
Ok, so I had someone from my past find me AND my work cell phone number as well as find out about Jami passing and he's not getting the clue that I don't want to talk to him anymore. Sorry to have to change blogs on you, but the other one was pretty open. This way I can say stuff and not worry about who is reading. If there is anyone I missed please just have them shoot me an email...I'll get them added. I just need to make sure I know who has access from here on.
