Just in case you weren't sure....I am NOT a pin cushion!!! This morning I had to go in for the 3 hour glucose test and they had to do 5 different blood draws. One to start, one a half hour later, one an hour later, one another hour later and then the last one an hour after that. I have HORRIBLE veins for blood draws and I didn't know it would be a full blood draw (and 5 of them) every time they checked my levels. It was quite a wretched long morning. The first one went well, but after that he had to start probing around and then the only veins that worked were in my hands and only if he put a heat pack on them (technically I had 6 blood draws, but the one only ended up with 2 drops in the vial before we had to do it again...wretched! I think 2 drops of my precious blood should be plenty!) I actually was a bit worried I was going to pass out after the third blood draw. I had to go for a walk and get some air and that seemed to make it a little better. It's bad enough that you have to go fasting, but then that sugar junk they have you drink is nasty!!!
On a good note, baby is growing GREAT! She has her daddy's energy (probably not so great). She moves and moves and moves. I went back for a 26 week ultrasound and she had her hands in fists and was punching and kicking and moving and moving. The perinatologist even was impressed by her moving. I will say that getting to see her cute heart beating and the valves opening and closing was awesome!! We even got to see her diaphragm which I can attest is in good working order because she has had the hiccups a couple of times now. Ok, so I'm behind on blogging because I'm now 28 weeks along (that's right...third trimester baby!!!)
On Monday at my dr's appointment when we were listening to the heartbeat you'd hear this screech and her heart beating, then another screech and more heart beating. I've heard the screech a lot, but it wasn't until this time that I realized it was because baby was moving as we were trying to listen. I now get why after listening to the heartbeat the dr would say "sounds good and she's good and wiggly" She doesn't like to be looked at or listened to. Oh! And heaven forbid I should bend over or cross my legs when she's awake. She does NOT like her space is encroached upon at all and boy do I pay for it.

Dad's New Suit
I know I've been slacking on the blogging thing recently. This whole pregnancy thing wears me out way to easy. Sad, but true. I'll get caught back up eventually (I hope!). So Saturday was my dad's birthday. Norman and I went and met my parents in Ogden for some shopping and lunch at Texas Roadhouse (YUMMY!!) and then we went to Men's Warehouse to get my dad a new suit. For those of you who don't know he was recently put in as second counselor in the bishopric. It was really fast and even more unexpected, but he's going to be so great at it! I'm really excited for him. He only has one suit right now though and it doesn't fit as nice as we'd like so for Christmas/Birthday we decided to get him a new suit and Men's Warehouse had a buy one get one free deal going on (even better!!). I was all sorts of help in the store (as usual) and then as the guy is finishing measuring my dad my dad said "You know, it's my birthday today. This is my new birthday suit!" The poor salesman was caught off guard by that. My dad told him that he didn't like his old birthday suit and could hardly wait for his new one. I'll get pictures posted of his new birthday suit as soon as I can :)
