Our last day in California was at the zoo. We had to see the Giraffe's (Megan's second favorite and favorite at Hogle Zoo because they don't have mingos)

The first day we were there the hotel concierge had said to go check out the Mormon Battalion Museum. We'd tried to find it on our adventures earlier in the week, but didn't see it and didn't think much of it. We just happened to see it on our way to get more yummy food in Old Town and had to stop. It was the BEST stop ever! It was the highlight of our trip. I don't know if it was because we had no expectations or what. If you are ever in San Diego you must stop and visit the Battalion Museum. I won't give it away, but it's awesome! They have a story they tell you as you move from room to room and they really bring the history to life. We were able to pan for gold at the end which was fun for the kids too.
So sad for our vacation to be over :( Don't worry California....We'll be back :D
