Tip-toe through the Tulips

Last weekend we went to the tulip festival with my parents. It was sooo much fun!!! First, my mom found an exotic bird feather

It was actually really funny because at first she was sooo excited to see such a bright feather and couldn't wait to see the bird it came from. She then realized that it was a fake feather...poor mommy!!

My Dad had a lot of fun playing in the climbing area...go daddy go!!

Norman found some wonderful houses that he could play with...

I did enjoy spending some time under the umbrella.

We got to see a cool owl. It looked like it was fake, but it was real...soo cool!!

I told Norman to go stand by this moose statue and pretend like he was scared. He told me that he's a real man and not afraid of anything...hmmmmm...if it were a real moose he'd probably feel different.

I have no idea what my mom is pointing out to my dad, but I thought the pic was cute.

Norman and I got to be tulips!!

On our way out we noticed there was an action area. Of course Norman and I had to get some action!!

Mom and Dad wanted in on that too, but they are old and it was too hard to get behind the sign :)

We had a great time and I have some fun pictures. Norman took one picture and of course it was of my butt! Oh geesh! That one will not be posted on the site for your safety.

Ode to the Decoy Blanket

I was really nervous about being married and having to share a bed with someone. I haven't EVER shared a bed and I wasn't sure how that would go exactly. First I was worried about the snoring, but yah...I snore louder than he does...then I was worried that he'd take lots of room. He assured me that he only took a small amount and he wasn't sure why he had a California King bed when he only slept on a small little spot. Before we got married my parents gave us advice and said to use 2 twin or full blankets and that way you don't have any tugging issues. What great advice!! We were so excited and it works great with one minor modification. I used to sleep with smaller blankets even before I was married (don't ask me why). Anywho, Norman now sleeps where my spare blankets were. Here's the deal. When I first go to bed I'm cold so I bundle up, but then I get hot and so I kick off my blankets. It never seems to fail that the temp drops during the night so I get cold again. It just so happens that now when I kick my blanket off and go for my spare I am taking Norman's blanket....yup...strip it right off of him. I have to tug a bit, but I do win and get my blanket. A few nights ago when we were getting ready for bed he threw a blanket in the middle of the bed. I was like "what's that for?" He said that when I'm sleeping I have been taking the middle blanket rather than his, and if I do take his blanket that he still has one. Oh geesh! Yup...it's sooo true! I'd been wondering where this extra blanket kept coming from...what a smart husband I have :)
