Well, I haven't bought much for baby yet because I'm trying to stay calm. In fact, I'm pretty proud because I've only bought some onesies and they are even for 6mos so not totally newborn (even though I'm thinking our baby won't be small). Oh, and I only bought them because they were on clearance and I'm all about the good deals. Norman and I are going to get furniture soon because well...it's getting about that time, but for the most part we've been good. Especially considering how much I LOVE to shop and how excited I am for her to come.
The one thing that I have been doing is making blankets. Do I think I'm the only one preparing with blankets...no...but it's time consuming and makes me feel like I'm doing something without shopping like crazy. I'll get pictures posted soon of everything. I will say that one of the coolest things is that Jami had bought and made baby blankets for various people. She got sick during this time so some people didn't get them. Sorry for those people, but so happy for me now!! There were some she'd finished and some she'd started and my mom finished. I'm so excited! It's great to see her taste in baby blankets. She loves green and there are the cutest blankets with green in them. I keep finding myself buying material with green accents in them.
So our funny dog story for the week...Sophie has totally attached to Norman. It's so funny to see her with him. Sophie and Chloe sleep in a bed on the floor by us. Sophie LOVES to nest and get the bed ready by scratching and scratching and spinning and scratching. It's a pretty long and loud process, but it's something we're getting more and more used to. The other night Norman threw two pillows in their bed rather than just one. He proceeded to tell me how he has found that for some reason Soph doesn't scratch so much when there are two pillows. We figured it was because it was too high. We were getting ready for bed when I see Sophie run out of the room carrying a pillow. Yup, she showed him what she thought of that! Not only did she take the pillow out of the room, but she ran it downstairs and started to try to shred it. Wow! She doesn't like two pillows on the bed at all...take that dad! :)
