Keelee the star

This week we went to Keelee's play Music Man Jr. at her elementary school. I was actually pleasantly surprised. The kids did a GREAT job and Keelee was of course a star! I have some pictures, but yah...the lighting and moving kids just made them blurry. The video's look better. I of course missed recording Keelee's dance solo (which she did a great job at), but I did get part of a speaking scene of hers.

Here's one of the songs and her singing...hopefully you don't get too motion sick watching it.

Afterwards we went for ice cream with Trish, Wendy, Keelee, Karley and Wendy's mom Sharon at Arctic Circle. They are so fun to hang out with. Wendy put Karley's bunny in this side pocket in Sharon's purse and afterwards found a $5 bill in that same side pocket. I am determined that bunny poops $5 bills and Karley wouldn't believe me. Alas, now she has a money pooping bunny and I am left poor...awww...poor me.

My honey has been busy with his new hydroponic farm...that's right...we're starting a new side business. When I told my coworkers that Norman was going to start a hydroponic farm they were laughing and telling me that I could be their new provider (yah...hydroponics have gotten a bad rep with marijuana). He started with tomatoes, so I'm going to make my coworkers some "hydroponic brownies" (because usually people make pot brownies) with tomatoes instead...lol. I don't have any pictures of it yet because the plants aren't big and manly enough yet for me to show everyone according to Norman.

Still loving my church job. I love the nursery kids!!! Today one of the mom's was telling me that her daughter loves singing time and will go home and pretend to be me. She'll have her little sister sit down and tell her that they are going to sing a song. Once they mumble something she'll say "you did such a great job!!". I LOVE it!!!

My Husband the charmer

I don't know where the days go...well...I see them go by, but geesh! To catch you back up I FINALLY went and got allergy tested. I'm really really allergic to grasses (alas...I can't mow the lawn anymore...awwww...so sad). This must be the reason that I've always let my little lawn in my backyard struggle. You see...if I had a beautiful lush green lawn it would just cause me more grief...yah...that's it...grief. I'm allergic to a bunch of other stuff and then really really bad to guinea pig. I knew I was allergic to the fuzzy rats, but yah...even the doctor was impressed with the size of the hive I grew so quickly with that. Believe it or not they have a special serum to test specifically for guinea pig...lol...I thought that was funny. The reason that I'm telling you this is because I now have to go in for wretched shots twice a week. I thought I'd do the cluster shots (3 shots twice a week) to get the titration up and be done quicker. The first set went pretty well. I ended up with huge welts on my arms, but it was doable. On Monday I went in for my second set of shots and all went well until I got home. Oh man! I thought I was going to die! My face broke out in a rash, my lips swelled up, my mouth and esophagus were all swollen...ewww!! I was sooo sick! Poor Norman kept checking my pulse and then he'd come in and tell me that I look like crap...what a loving husband. I did survive, but on Thursday I only got a small dose and one shot. I was ok with that one, so I guess we'll see what happens tomorrow.

Last Saturday we met my friends Steve and Marcia. I met them in college and I haven't seen them since they had their new little boy. Norman turned on the charm I guess because the girls LOVED him. I didn't ask them to pose for this. They were both on his lap talking to him and just having a grand time. I loved it!!!

Today in nursery singing time I handed out the tambourines and one of the little girls started singing "Follow the Prophet". Her mom was surprised and she hadn't taught her that song. She remembered it from singing time!!! YAY!!!! I LOVE my nursery kids!!! So fun!!!

All Clean!!!

Last weekend we went with my parents to get our wedding present from them...a new washer and dryer!! My mom wants her future grandbabies to have clean clothes after all :) LOL! Oh, and that's NOT a hint that I'm pregnant. So...anyways...Norman and I went to Sears with my parents to pick out what we wanted. Alright so I'm SPOILED! Not only did we get a great washer and dryer, but the salesman was trying to figure out what we wanted and he asked how much laundry I do a week. I had to turn to Norman to ask how much laundry he does...you see...I'm spoiled and he does the laundry...LOL! What a great husband I have! People ask me how marriage is and I tell them it's great! I'm not kidding either. I have my best friend around all the time, he cooks, he cleans, he can open jars with his bare hands...wow! I'm one lucky gal I tell ya!

This past weekend was my niece Mina's birthday (so fun to have nieces and nephews!). There was a birthday party and of course I had to go in with a splash. There were 2 little one year olds so they had a baby gate up to keep them from falling down the stairs. Alas...I am a tard and the gate jumped out and grabbed my foot (I swear that thing moved) and sure enough I went down. Poor Norman had his hands full of stuff and the look of panic on his face was classic. I was just trying not to take him down as I went. I will say that I'm still a graceful faller. I'm getting old and I feel it more the next day, but I am an elegant clutz. So glad Norman and I are already married...this way they are stuck with me and my clumsiness :)
