It's Official

Well...some of you knew it was coming, but some may be surprised...lol...I'm officially engaged. That's right...either hell froze over or pigs are flying...maybe even both! Norman is amazing and he is even willing to put up with me...yup...I think it takes lots of Valium :) We don't have an official date for the wedding, but we'll get things more finalized this week. For those of you who don't know Norman and I met on a blind date arranged by my cousin Heather's husband Mitch. They work together and he thought we might get along...guess he was right :)



See how happy!! Yay! I'm VERY excited. I'll definitely get more posted and of course I have more stories about the weekend, but I'm tired and need to sleep. I've been slacking on the blogging, but I've been busy...as you can tell :)

It's Heeeerrrrreeeee!!!!

So my parents were kinda back and forth on the cash for clunkers thing, but finally decided to trade in the fabulous Explorer for a Jeep Patriot. They found one at a dealership in Brigham (the Patriot was the only AWD vehicle on the rebate so it was VERY popular and hard to find) the problem was the dealership didn't actually have the Patriot on their lot yet. They filled out all the paperwork though and were told it would be there in a few days. Well...that turned into almost a month. Earlier this week they called and said it was coming this week. We'd heard that before so we kinda chuckled. My parents had already left the Explorer with them and I was wondering if the dealership just fell in love with the fine shaking feeling (well...it's more of a bounce) that they didn't want to get rid of it. I'm sure there were many a fun joy rides in that fine car from the dealership staff :)

I posted pictures of Norman and me. Don't worry I told him that he's gotta get used to the camera because I need to have stuff to blog about. We didn't take pictures at the State Fair, but we'll be better in the future.

FHE

So my new calling in the ward is FHE committee member. Considering I've never gone to FHE I guess this is a good calling...lol. It's made me go. Tonight we had a "Back to School" night where we played recess games. I even brought my adult size hippity hops in. I challenged Norman to a race...it was going well...



Until the punk started to beat me!! I totally cheated (because that's the way it works best for me), however, I biffed it and tripped and fell and there was a loud screech as my arms went across the floor and everyone turned to stare...oh geesh! Norman was nice and helped me up (even though I did win as I went screeching across the line). Needless to say I learned a very valuable lesson....My cheating skills are severely rusty and I must not be cheating enough :)

BBQ Time

So it's been a while since I posted and there's a reason for that. We'll get to that later...lol.

So on Labor Day we had a BBQ at my parent's house. It was a lot of fun!! Trish and Wendy came up with Keelee and Karley and I actually brought Norman home with me (yup...hence the reason for the slow posts...lol).



My parents put on quite the spread and it was soooo yummy!!! Gotta love going home. We played some Rock Band too because what Petersen party is complete without some gaming :)
