Getting settled in

I've been slacking on blogging. I ended up with a WRETCHED cold and it kicked my butt to the ground I tell you!! Norman was GREAT! He'd rub my back, my head, my feet and then he'd make fun of me for being a wimp and he said that real men have great immune systems...yup...you know where this is going...he caught it too! Punk! I will say that he didn't get quite as sick as me, but he was pretty sick. Sadly, he was on call all week so he just ended up working through it all.

I am now the nursery music leader (well...one of 2, we have 4 nurseries people...FOUR!). We have more nurseries than we do Young Women (I think we only have 3, but only one is active). This ward is really young. The great thing is that on Fast Sunday we have at least one baby blessing every time. Long baby blessing and short testimony meeting...yay! I don't miss the ward tryouts of the singles ward every testimony meeting. It was crazy to hear people get up and try to sell themselves for a date...yah...I'm bad...I know. I absolutely LOVE my calling. I get to go in and let the kids be rowdy and sing for 20 minutes and then leave the teachers with excited kids :) This week we're going to start learning follow the prophet and I figure there's no better way to learn that than with tambourines! Yay!! What fun!!! I put blue ribbon on the end of sticks so they are little streamers for when we sing Give Said the Little Stream. Last week was the first time we used them and the kids LOVED it! One of the little boys started swinging it around and yelled "THIS IS AWESOME!!" haha! So stinkin' cute!! I was going to put pictures of things on here, but Norman has been busy with work so he can't model them. Don't worry though...I'll get some posted :)

Dog-gone...well not anymore

So just got a text from Trish and you remember the poodle we lost (Spice) and then we found someone else's poodle and then it's owner, but we never found Spice...well...someone found her and she's alive and everything. How crazy is that!?!?! It's been almost 6 weeks and now she shows up...WOW! She was still hanging out in Foxboro and she's chipped a tooth and has a ton of burrs in her fur, but she's alive. She's lost a lot of weight too (maybe I should be lost for a while)...I think I'm going to say that the stress of loosing her made me eat more...yah...that's why I've gained yet more weight :)

I'm in Austin for NCPDP (a work conference) this week. I hate being away from my honey :( Last night we went to dinner and I got to eat fried pickles. They were YUMMY!!! They were crispy and a little tangy and then we smothered them in ranch dressing and Yummy in my tummy! I was hoping we'd have nice weather, but so far it's just been rainy and cold...grrrrr.
