Is Grandpa magnetic??
Today we went to Grandpa and Grandma Petersen's to say hi. Since Grandpa's been having back problems it's been hard for him to get out and the weather has been yucky so it's hard for us to get there. We made it today though and it was a great time. Grandma decided we should show the kids Grandpa's staples. They were playing with the fridge magnets, a favorite at Grandma's, and we had them come over to see. Megan thought it was gross and didn't want to look. Matt on the other hand was intrigued, he looked at them very thoughtfully and then gently touched them with his finger. He didn't say anything and turned and walked away. Grandma began to move the bandage back over the staples and we were chatting about how careful Matt was and how funny that was when we see a magnet come up between us. Matt was back with a magnet and wanted to see if it would stick to Grandpa's back. We couldn't believe he thought of that. Thank goodness Grandma had already put the bandage back down, otherwise a staple would have come out when Matt stuck the magnet to it.

Swim Lessons
Norman has been able to switch his schedule back to 8 hour days (he had been working 4 10's). This has made it so he's done early enough that we could sign the kids up for swim lessons. I'm so glad Norman thought of swimming lessons. We started today and the kids had a BLAST! Megan was a little apprehensive about putting her head under the water, but Matt was all about splashing and just getting in there. They were jumping around and getting all sorts of energy out (perfect for winter!!!) They are in the Pre-1 class and there are only 3 kids in the class. I think this is going to be a great activity!!
